GTs on the menu soon and I’m building the perfect weapon. Usually people would use a Popping rod to catch these viscous monsters but I’ll be going against tradition and using a Fly rod. Yes you can call me crazy but I’ve always done things the hard way and this will be no exception.
So, I’m going to go full-hog on this baby and I’ll be building a 9′ 12 weight fly rod using the CTS Revo Salt blank in the Cobalt blue colour. If you’re going for GTs then I suggest you get yourself a strong rod and the CTS Revo Salt is most definitely strong.
The reel seat being used is the Strubble U-18HG. A very nice looking Aluminium build which I will be completely re-anodising to match the theme I intend to set upon this work of art.
The Fly Reel going on this monster will be the Abel Super Series 12W with an Abel fish pattern that you will all have to wait for.
