Thought I might share this with the general Spey Fishing public. James a return customer has commissioned myself to build him another Custom Fly Rod, to be exact Custom Spey rod. This time a 15 foot monster using a CTS Affinity SK DH blank. To more specific, it’s a 15′, 8-9 weight, 500-800 grain weapon. Last weekend the rod had it’s Guide Train tested out in the field and it performed far beyond my expectations with what could only be described as pure grunt power. The rod was capable of casting 30 metres of line in one cast which is amazing to see. Well the beast is almost complete and I’ll be keeping you all up to date with the progress.
